As luck would have it

Just as I was gearing up to resume some flying I have been told that the Salta Aeroclub's faithful Cessna-182 (photo) has had a bit of prang.

No one was hurt, but the plane has been damaged. Apparently an attempted landing went wrong when a ploughed field was mistaken for a landing strip...

This will obviously affect some of the proposed overflights we had planned to do with some indigenous leaders as part of the ongoing monitoring of deforestation in the Chaco.

Such is life.
