One night mountain break

We managed another short ¡(1 night!) family break, this time to the mountains. We stayed in a very pleasant hotel in a tiny village called Purmamarca. The town is set in a fertile valley and surrounded by arid multicolured mountains.

The hotel is built of mud bricks (adobes), with the roofs also made of mud and covered in a thin layer of pebbles. The next picture shows the litte house (villa) we stayed in.

The views are breathtaking in which ever direction one looks. The area is also amazingly peaceful, other than the odd lorry that thunders through the town on its way to the Chilean border.
