Carolina has done so well at school she was selected by her teacher to lower the national flag along with her best friend Guadalupe. This is quite an honor in Argentine schools, so we are very pleased for her! The task is quite nerve racking as one has to time the lowering of the flag to coincide with the duration of a partriotic song that is sang by the whole school whilst the flag is lowered.
In fact, three flags are actually raised and lowered every day: the national flag, the provincial flag, and the school's own flag - but the main honor is to be selected for the national flag, which has by far the tallest flag pole!.
